I have had this rug for some time, it has been lingering in the ‘keeper’ department but I know that you can’t keep all the rugs you love so here it is for someone else to appreciate. For me it is the contrast between the very regular and controlled central field with it’s bold cross and the bright blue sea of flowers that surrounds it. The abrash in the blue adds to this effect and the white main border which is well drawn makes for the perfect frame. A really lovely rug with very usable dimensions.

Condition:

Pile is medium to low and there are a few tiny moth holes. The ends have lost a little and are still slightly uneven. Otherwise quite a strong rug.
