Bakhtiari pieces are generally robust which is certainly the case here. The cotton foundation and compact weave make them very usable, I often say you could park your car on them. This is a bright and decorative carpet with an allover lattice of floral designs and a light border. The allover pattern is one of my favourite designs, hinting at an infinite pattern that is both uniform in shape but random in content. Therein lies the magic of antique oriental rugs for me. Another aspect I love is a rug that seems to bring light into a room, I think this piece certainly meets that requirement.

Condition:

Good condition with just a little wear to the central field, altogether a very tough and usable carpet.
