A soft and floppy tribal rug from the Belouch with its customary palette and glowing wool. I love these allover diagonal designs that slip under the border to give the impression of an infinite field. It has a classic belouch border and the white minor borders stand out markedly against the darker field. It is a quality rug that despite being a tribal piece is also very decorative. If you look at this closely at first you see an array of hexagons on a blue background and then the eye switches to see the blue background joined up as a lattice framing the small hexagons. These are clever and interesting designs not found on vintage and modern rugs.
