There is something pure about the simplicity of palette in these old Chinese rugs, three shades of blue and the light cream combine to create the classic look. The pictorial design is mirrored with a large deer and bird seen in the valley, a commonly seen design. Perhaps owning so many colourful Persian and Caucasian rugs it is quite refreshing to see a simpler palette, I find the overall effect quite calming. A perfect rug for the bedroom.
