This is the sort of thing that always attracts me, as we enter the 19th Century the quality of colour and design improves radically. I love the shade of red in the main field, it absolutely glows in the light and the abrash only improves it. The stylised boteh march to and fro across the field, their deep blue offset by the soft red with light blue highlights completing the picture. I cannot resist these pieces with their simplicity of design and rich colours, I think this is a real gem.

Condition:

Fair condition. Some repair to the border and wear commensurate with its great age.
