These generic northern Iranian rug aren’t the greatest quality but occasionally I pick them up so I can offer some affordable pieces along with all of the treasures. It is a very robust rug with cotton foundation. The design is part Heriz part Lilihan with its floral sprays around a central medallion. It is possible to have a handmade rug for under £150 which is staggering when you consider the price of synthetic machine made examples. It isn’t the Ardebil but it has some charm.
