This rug has a very fresh palette with good strong colours. The field contains an allover herati pattern typical of Fereghan rugs, this is flanked by four yellow spandrels and some lovely minor borders. The reciprocal red and white border frames the field and the major border full of colour is itself bordered by red ribbons on a blue background. These rugs form northern Iran have cotton foundations making them sturdy pieces which generally lie flat.
This is a very bright and happy rug that would light up any room with its colour and delicate design.
