This Jozan sarouk is typical of the type, very finely knotted with asymmetric knotting and the warps sat on top of each other. This tight weave makes them very durable pieces and the fine knotting allows for a well articulated design. The ivory central medallion and spandrels seem to sit above the blue ground with its attractive floral lattice. It doesn’t have great age but still retains the quality of older pieces. A very fine decorative rug with many years of use left in it.
