I sometimes come across inexpensive rugs that are a little later in date which I buy as stock for those wanting a handmade oriental rug but at an IKEA price. This one I bought as part of a consignment and I am happy to offer it in my bargain basement. I would call it Quchan Kurd based on the design which comprises of an allover field of tiles holding a cruciform design. Note the inconsistency in the bottom row, these Kurdish rugs often have some random and odd designs at the beginning of the weaving. The wool is soft and the rug quite floppy, I think the colours whilst not saturated and rich are still pleasing.
Condition:
Good condition, the rug has some bumpy areas due to its soft woollen construction and would benefit by some underlay.
