I am often drawn to Mazlaghan rugs because they have such a bright palette. I particularly liked the tone of the red on this one, also the precise geometric drawing of the floral motifs is very attractive. As ever the corners are decorated with a rich collection of multicoloured florets arranged in lines. At each end They slip under the central serrated diamond creating depth. This whole red diamond seems to stand up on the rug supported by its spikes and the secondary serrated camel diamond within it seems to sink back down again. I love these effects on rugs and sometimes wonder if everyone sees them with same eyes. This is a very decorative rug with great appeal.
