Qashqai saddlebags are amongst the best amongst Persian pieces. They are fine and whilst this is important it should be said that good colour is the most important attribute. They certainly deliver on that score with a wonderful palette of jewel like hues including the unusal burgundy red in the central diamond. Every inch is crammed with colourful motifs, a universe of random beauty flanking the bold central diamond. The bottom panel shows an unusal kelim design but in pile, a very pleasing addtion to a very good example.

Condition:

Good condition with a couple of areas of old moth damage. The backing is missing and a small piece of this is folded over and secured to the back.
