This is such a happy rug with its bright colours and vibrant design. My first Rabat rug too despite having wanted one for some time now. Perhaps it is the markedly different palette that attracts me. The central burgundy diamond sits on a wonderfully light blue field, the corners are crammed with repeated floral motifs in diagonal stripes. There are two main borders one floral and the other geometric like jigsaw pieces. I think this is such a lovely rug, it has interest, colour and a generally cheerful aspect. The pile is long and the rug is as floppy as a blanket.
Condition:
Generally good. The main issue is that the edges have been covered in a binding. However It is sympathetic to the look and makes the piece secure.
