I love a rug with an infinite field such as this. The mutli-coloured stepped diamonds are locked together and create a mesmerising field that is cut off by the border. The weave is crude but tough and similar to Jaf Kurdish rugs albeit without their trademark offset knotting. The vegetable dyes are bright and combine beautifully, it is interesting to see how the white in the main field causes the three diamonds towards the bottom to pop out and attract the eye to them. Despite some wear this is a very strong and usable piece.

Condition:

A couple of areas of wear, the main one across the middle. Some small areas of repair but as stated this is a very tough rug.
