A charming little Shiraz rug from southern Iran with a very fresh light red setting off the deep blue field. It is crammed with animals and floral motifs as one would expect from these tribal rugs. The red curtain that extends from the spandrels all the way up the rug on either side creates a sense of depth as one peers into the blue pool below. I find the colour combinations on the red background most pleasing. This is not a collectors piece by any means but it has a great look and would brighten any room with its presence.

Fair condition with just a little overall wear as might be expected from an antique.
